Sachems FC Academy, a premier development program for Girls and Boys
U7 through U10, offers advanced soccer training for players in the eastern Massachusetts area. Sachems FC Academy is for players
who show interest and aptitude in playing soccer at a premier level and complements the players' town travel and sandlot
programs.
Sachems FC Academy provides the finest soccer skills development environment
for young soccer players in a competitive and fun environment. Players focus on developing soccer skills and understanding
functional aspects of the game, while increasing their speed and ball control. The activities are age appropriate and are
presented in a progressively challenging but fun environment. You will see a huge growth in your child’s soccer ability!

SPECIAL SACHEMS FC ACADEMY EVENT
On October 19th, the Sachems FC Academy will travel to Northeastern University! Before the
match, Sachems FC Academy players will have a training session with the Academy staff at the Northeastern stadium. Players
will meet the Northeastern team and then watch the match versus University of North Carolina-Wilmington (UNC-Wilmington).

SACHEMS FC ACADEMY COACHING STAFF
The coaching staff for 2008-2009 is the strongest yet. Academy Director, Ed
Matz, heads Sachems FC Academy for the 2nd year. Ed Matz is entering his 10th season leading Northeastern University's soccer
program. Having earned over 200 career collegiate wins, Ed led the Huskies to their first America East Conference title in
2002. He was honored as America East Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2002. As a player, he had a distinguished college career
as captain of Green Mountain College where he was selected to the Mayflower All-Conference and NAIAA All-District Teams. He
holds a NSCAA Advanced National License.
Mr. Matz is joined by other high quality, professional, and fully licensed coaches who embody
the same philosophies and approaches. The Sachems FC Academy staff includes professional players from the Boston Breakers,
New Hampshire Phantoms, and both Men's and Women's coaches from Northeastern and other local colleges.
