ADVANCED KEEPER SCHOOLS
The 2007-2008 Advanced Keeper sessions were so successful that Sachems FC is
offering it again. The Keeper School has been developed with a focus on improving ball stopping and reading angles of the
shots, while developing the composure required to be a top goal keeper. Goal Keepers will focus on goal keeping fundamentals
and learn the importance of shot-stopping, anticipation, and reading the body language of players. This clinic will include
7 sessions at a cost of $75.
Girls' Keeper Trainer - Jade Higgins joins the Northeastern
women's soccer staff as goalkeeper coach in 2008. She graduated from Georgetown last spring and has extensive soccer
experience as both a player and coach. She was the director of goalkeepers at Sachems Academy, director of goalkeepers at
the Husky Soccer Academy, coached at the SoccerPlus Goalkeeper camp, and coached the goalkeepers at the Reston Football Club.
At Georgetown, Higgins had a stellar career as the Hoyas' starting goalkeeper for four seasons. She set the Hoyas' career
saves record, career shutouts record and tied the single-season record for shutouts. She backstopped a Georgetown defense
that set a team record for fewest goals allowed in 2006. Advanced Keeper Training will be held on Thursdays
at the Edge in Bedford. U10-U12 5:30-6:30p and U13-U18 6:30-7:30p. Sachems FC Advanced Keeper Winter School is highly developed and is open to all players U10-U18.
